MarGin’s founder Rachel Verghis is a former banker, passionate art collector and a gin sipping enthusiast. Inspired by an article about an artist who commissioned a perfumer to recreate the scent of the dollar bill, she embarked upon her own quest to create a premium spirit imbued with the quintessence of a banknote.
On that quest she chanced upon the ‘white fiver’—the first fully printed five pound note issued by the Bank of England in 1793. Struck by the elegance and heritage of this iconic note, Rachel saw the perfect union of liquid and label for her artisanal gin brand.
And so MarGin was born; a classic London dry gin, a tipple as cool, crisp and uncomplicated as a freshly printed ‘white fiver’, to be savoured like a smooth single malt or fine Cognac.
It is soft, round and gourmand. We taste deep and fresh notes of ginger and white candied fruits such as plums. We then feel the ample, smooth and long toasted oak finish from Kentucky Bourbon casks

Created in 1912 it is deep golden copper in colour and has strong aromas of orchard fruits, plummy warmth, cinnamon, vetiver and toasted almonds. The flavour is simple and mellow with a long and fruit-filled finish coupled with light spices and a hint of honey.
