This wine is all about the fruit and the sour cherries and wild strawberry juice is extremely drinkable. This is about as delicate as the Cote de Nuits gets but perhaps just missing the degree of structure and balance you expect from a 1er Cru
This is extremely impressive for the vintage, with dark berry, liquorice, aniseed and subtle clove character. Full to medium body, pretty backbone and black fruit core.
The Domaine de Valmoissine is ruby coloured with garnet tints. It has an intense aroma of Morello cherries and delicate wild herbs. The palate is harmonious with ripe tannins and balanced acidity. It is medium-bodied with rich summer pudding fruit flavours and a long silky finish.
