This is about as delicate as the Cote de Nuits gets but perhaps just missing the degree of structure and balance you expect from a 1er Cru

It has a very bright and deep ruby-red colour. It is delicate and true to type with notes of forest-floor, peppery spices and wood-smoke. It is big and generous, with an excellent body of noble tanins and fine new oakiness.
