A great introduction to the Louis Jadot style of fine red Burgundy, medium-bodied with a lovely purity of raspberry and cherry fruit and smooth tannins, this carefully oak-aged wine is a blend of mainly Côte d'Or Pinot Noir backed up by a little from Côte Chalonnaise.

After ageing in oak barrels of different sizes for at least 2 years it refines in bottle for 5 to 6 months. It is most appreciated for its intense ruby red colour with slight garnet reflections, it is intense and persistent in the nose with hints of Durmast Oak, elegant and austere in the mouth.

Deep red colour with purple fringe. Intense aromas of vanilla, coffee, red fruit, spice and herbs. Rich palate with soft tannins, hints of vanilla and red fruit flavours with excellent length.

Pale lemon coloured, with citrus and apple notes, a hint of blossom and faint traces of butter. Apple and citrus on the palate along with a hint of pear, finishing on a lovely mineral streak.

A very subtle hint of oak sets off notes of white orchard fruit, acacia and tidal pool notes that are also picked up by the rich and full mineral-infused flavours that possess good volume on the intense, tangy and punchy finish. This is relatively open and highly complex already and should be approachable young.

Louis Jadot Chablis is bright, fresh and light. Its taste and bouquet develop relatively quickly and will age up to 5 years.

Touches of peppermint infusing the citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced with slightly viscous, honeyed fruit rendering this quite rich in style, but nicely balanced with a little fieriness toward the persistent finish.

From Domaine Ott in Bandol, southern Rhone. Both delicate in flavour and powerful in structure. Notes of strawberry, cherry and ginger come through in this excellent rosé.

A nice, earthy, black-fruited, spicy and meaty Gruaud Larose, with medium body, excellent depth, chunky roasted herb and aged beef notes, this wine finishes authoritatively and the tannins are reasonably ripe.

An uplifting nose of spices and red fruits with a light to medium body and a palate of strawberries and pepper that is high in acidity and muted tannins.

The 2015 Beychevelle is a blend of 47% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot aged 18 months in barrel, 50% of which were new and 50% second fill. Medium to deep garnet-purple in colour, it's scented of smoked meats, scorched earth, garrigue and new leather with a core of cassis, cherry cordial and plum preserves. The medium-bodied palate is a little firm but delicate, with lovely vibrancy and a bit of grip on the finish.

Features a gorgeous core of plum and blackcurrant fruit, deeply inlaid with tobacco notes and chalky minerality. Everything melds wonderfully through to a refined finish.

A classic style of sauternes. a perfect way to finish a meal.  A nose of citrus fruits with dried fruit on the palate. Both rich and smooth in the mouth with a lasting sweet finish.

The Chateau Kirwan wine from Margaux displays an intense red colour and gives off quite a grand nose of freshly ripened dark berries. The palate is fleshy, almost juicy (with plenty of scrumptious fruit present), all upon very elegant, distinguished tannins with a refined grain. The tannic structure and balance of this wine reveal Cabernet Sauvignon that is perfectly concentrated and gradually ripened. The fruity finish is persistent. This wine is very nicely balanced on the whole. It is indeed a great Margaux classic.

Currant, blackberry, cherry and hints of liquorice. Full-bodied, with silky and refined tannins and a fresh finish. This is racy and pretty. Very refined. Very structured.

This is extremely impressive for the vintage, with dark berry, liquorice, aniseed and subtle clove character. Full to medium body, pretty backbone and black fruit core.
