Jameson Caskmates has extended its range. The whiskey has been finished in Shapeshifter West Coast IPA seasoned barrels producing a flavour of tropical fruits, sweet clementine and hops.

Warm spices mingle with dried fruit, while orange peel and vanilla complement the lingering peat smoke. These complex flavours evoke the essence of dark nights on Scotland's West Coast.

Aberlour is a modern Speyside malt which attracts attention from all quarters due to its classic, contemporary flavour. Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks its takes on the character of both spirits, as well as offering up its own character. Its aroma is rich in sherry with fleeting hints of toffee and nutty depth. The flavour is full-bodied, like a decadent fruit cake with sticky toffee and creamy malts blending beautifully. Sweet baking spices linger until the finish, adding warmth and depth.

The forerunner and kissing cousin to Bourbon, American Straight Corn Whiskey is defined by the US Government as having a recipe or mash bill with a minimum of 81% corn, the rest being malted barley and rye.

It is characterised by a rich aroma and flavours of vanilla and big, broad spice. Less sweet than traditional bourbon, it has subtle hints of rye toast with a light smokiness

Four roses is an exclusive small-batch bourbon that offer a distinct and sweet flavour with strong notes of molasses and cinnamon. Honey hues release honey fudge and nougat notes followed closely by cedarwood and pipe tobacco. The flavour is similarly sweet, with the honey notes married closely with cinnamon and the cedar wood gaining a smoked quality. The final notes that linger are of lightly toasted nuts with the rye content of the bourbon coming to the forefront.

ANGEL'S ENVY Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey possess wonderful notes of subtle vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts, while the palate reveals vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, toast and bitter chocolate before culminating in a clean finish with a lingering sweetness and a hint of Madeira that slowly fades.

Evan Williams extra-aged offers flavours different from other bourbons in the distillery’s range, simply due to the extra time it spends in its barrels getting ready. When perfectly prepared it’s bottled and you’ll enjoy a wonderfully mellow and drinkable bourbon which has a perfectly balanced flavour. On the nose you’ll get bright notes of vanilla, cream and spice and they soon lad onto a maple syrup rich body, warm on the palate with oak notes balancing against the spice.
