The happy black seal performing on the front of each bottle is not where this rum got its name, but it’s a fun addition. Gosling’s black seal is named for the wax used to seal the stopper in place in fact and this is a deep, dark rum which stewed fruit aromas emanating from first opening. Spicy and herbal notes blend together to lead into a thickly sweet and fruity flavour which tingles on the tongue and is supported by creamier vanilla notes with caramel hints.
