Scents of spices and honeyed plump fruits. Syrupy, with lots of vanilla and fudge and just a whisper of smoke on the finish.

Nose: Intense notes of sloe berries and juniper. Palate: Smooth and rich mouth-feel. Finish: A long finish with deep undertones.

Rosewater and orange peel on the entry followed by waves of juniper and lemon. The finish is very floral with lemon and juniper notes that lead onto sharp white pepper notes at the very end.

MarGin’s founder Rachel Verghis is a former banker, passionate art collector and a gin sipping enthusiast. Inspired by an article about an artist who commissioned a perfumer to recreate the scent of the dollar bill, she embarked upon her own quest to create a premium spirit imbued with the quintessence of a banknote. On that quest she chanced upon the ‘white fiver’—the first fully printed five pound note issued by the Bank of England in 1793. Struck by the elegance and heritage of this iconic note, Rachel saw the perfect union of liquid and label for her artisanal gin brand. And so MarGin was born; a classic London dry gin, a tipple as cool, crisp and uncomplicated as a freshly printed ‘white fiver’, to be savoured like a smooth single malt or fine Cognac.

Despite its punchiness there is elegance to this rum and citrus and grassy notes come through to support the strength.

A secret recipe that only the senior folks at Pernod are party to, Pastis 51 is Frances no.3 spirit and a favourite in Marseille. Natural anise flavour gives it a kick and it has a deep and complex flavour profile which has become popular as an aperitif in France and beyond. Select herbs and spices blend together bringing together flavours of the east and west with Chinese star anise working harmoniously with the aromatic herbs of Provence.
