Port of Spain Trinidad, 1932. A catastrophic fire. In its fiery wake hundreds of charred rum-filled casks were found, that had been aging for 13 years in the government Rum Bond. Blending artistry resulted in a delightful golden rum of incomparable taste - '1919' Aged Rum - named for the year it was casked. One of the most successful rums of the House of Angostura, this 'spirit of Trinidad', was proudly shipped to Trinidadian troops fighting far away from home in World War II.
Angostura 1919® has come a long way. Angostura 1919® is a smooth, premium rum - the only rum in the premium category to capture a master at the 2013 Spirits Business Rum Masters competition.
Sip and savour.
Nearly 200 years of our expertise is captured in this blend of aged rums from the tropical islands of Trinidad & Tobago. With a bouquet of cocoa, coconut and vanilla, we believe that you will drink no smoother rum than Angostura 1919.
