Jose cuervo blanco 1800 is a 100% agave tequila which rests in ex-american whisky casks and benefits from the depths of both the oak and the whiskey flavours coming through. Chargrilled vegetables and celery notes come through in the nose which then leads into a flavour which allows the agave to take centre stage. Light and delicate, the agave is surrounded by the smokiness of the vegetable flavours and a light peppering of spice. Herbaceous and rounded to the final sip.

Jose Cuervo Tradicional reposado uses only 100% blue weber agave made with the same traditional methods Jose Cuervo used when he first began producing tequila in 1795. AMER PICON BLACK LABEL, 1LT

Amer picon is a sweet orange-based liqueur which is usually served as an aperitif or mixed with wine, which may sound a little strange but you’ve got to try it to find out. Amer picon has bittersweet notes and includes quinine, gentian and cinchona in addition to the citrus flavours. Amer picon is most regularly found in cocktails, including wheat beer cocktails and simply blended with soft drink/mixer/mixers. The sweetness of the orange has a bitter edge provided by the botanicals.

Remy Martin Mature Cask Brandy, 70cl

Remy Martin VOSP mature cask benefits from a precise maturation process which involves placing the Eaux de vie in specially selected limousin oak casks that are more than 20 years old. These casks allow the fruity notes of the blend to be enhanced further and it’s a wonderful cognac which can be enjoyed over ice or as a key flavour in a sophisticated cocktail. Apricot and peach take centre stage with notes of rose and sweet vanilla following after.

Doorly's XO Rum, 70cl

Recognisable from the blue hyacinth macaw on its bottle, Doorly’s fine old Barbados rum is an extra special creation. Doorly’s XO is a sweet concoction of heady aromas and enticing flavours including notes of oloroso sherry thanks to the casks the spirit is matured in. Oak spices are prevalent in the flavour and support the sweet vanilla and marzipan notes which deliver a tart spiciness which is enjoyable again and again. A lingering and enjoyable smokiness on the palate is again thanks to the oak maturation process.

Luxury voka from Khasikstan. Soft wheat and creamy vanilla ice cream notes give way to pink peppercorn and lime rind. The finish is silky and remains on a peppercorn taste for a moment before a solid spice and citrus close. Super slick and well made vodka. Best served ice cold.

Berneroy No 8 VSOP Brandy, 70cl

From the heart of the Calvados region, Berney aged this VSOP in limousin oak for around 8 years. It has a great flavour and they recommend it with the cheeseboard, chocolate, or even as an accompaniment to a good cigar.

Sigognac Armagnac VSOP, 70cl

Very good balance in the mouth, endowed with a suave vanilla taste with notes of crystallised fruits that is very rare in a VSOP.

1800 Reposado Tequila, 70cl

Jose Cuervo reposado 1800 is a further edition to the 1800 series of tequilas from Jose Cuervo. Rested for just six months in American and French oak casks, this tequila is a bittersweet, light offering which is exceptionally easy to drink. Light coconut and vanilla flavours come through in the nose with spicy pepper and cinnamon coming through too. The taste begins sweetly, with butterscotch taking centre stage but then leading into familiar notes of vanilla and charred vegetables.

Olmeca Altos Silver Tequila, 70cl

Super clean and tasty quinoa vodka. Clean bright lemon and almost a little fruit on the palate. Very smooth all the way through. The finish is a lemon and soft spice affair. Very very well made vodka and very very fairly priced vegan-friendly too. Big thumbs up.

Wild Turkey 101 Whisky, 70cl

Wild turkey 101 has been aged for eight years at a much higher proof than they’re traditional bourbon. This delivers a more intense, alcohol-heavy nose but also a deeper, more complex flavour. You wouldn’t know it from the nose as it’s light and unassuming but once you sip you’ll taste the depth of sweetness within this bourbon alongside the toasty alcohol burn. Pepper, caramel and honey are stand out flavours in this intense bourbon and it’s certainly one to remember.

Brockman's Gin, 70cl

Blueberries and blackberry jam show up first with a soft undercurrent of juniper and angelica root. The kick is sweet and the waves of orange peel and almond paste leave a yummy taste in the mouth. This is brilliant for cocktails and different from other gins in that it really is an original flavour. Top stuff.

Arette Reposado Tequila, 70cl

A top-quality 100% agave tequila, Arette has become a firm favourite of UK bartenders and connoisseurs since its introduction in 2007. This is a fantastic reposado, deliciously smooth.

Cotswolds Dry Gin, 70cl

Ford's Gin, 70cl

Fords gin is made at Thames Distillers in London using wheat. The botanicals – including Spanish lemon peel, Turkish grapefruit peel and Chinese jasmine – are steeped in the stills for 15 hours before distillation. the result is a gin where the botanicals come to the fore.

Beefeater Blood Orange Gin, 70cl

Heavy juniper from the off with heaps of citrus peel. A slight Thai spice note comes through midway and then moves into a heavy botanical lemon country. The kick is an easy one and the close is dried citrus peel and a little more of the Thai spice on the end.

Glenfiddich 12yr Whisky, 70cl

A classic Speyside offering, Glenfiddich’s 12-year-old blend spends time in both American and European oak casks, developing a truly distinguished flavour. Your traditional Speyside flavours are released as you open the bottle with a slightly floral, mineral-inspired malted aroma, with citrus honey and orchard fruit notes. The floral notes come to a head in the flavour, with spices carrying the drink to a new level, smoothness ruling throughout. A true benchmark of quality.

Johnnie Walker Double Black Whisky, 70cl

Johnnie walker double black is an exceptionally limited edition offering which brings out the finest notes of the traditional black label and combines them with a peatier whisky which is matured in barrels which are more charred. A smoke-filled nose offers up a little vanilla, citrus and malt and the flavour is creamy, malty and packed with enjoyable peat smoke. Salty butter, sweetened custard and cereals add further depth and character to this premium blend.

Fantastic grain vodka that lives up to its esteemed reputation. Silky mixed citrus zest and soft wheat unfold both slowly and smoothly on the palette. The finish is dry and clean with moments of lemon and crushed wheat; has a great length too. Big thumbs up. Grey Goose always delivers. Extremely well-made vodka and well worth the money.

Janneau VSOP Brandy, 70cl

The longer maturation in montlezun oak gives this style considerable smoothness and a superb fragrance.

Warner Edwards Elderflower Gin, 70cl

Luxurious offering from Poland. Medium-bodied with faint vanilla any crushed grains. The finish is of a reasonable length with butter and nutty cream notes that fade into lemon zest.

Knob Creek 9yr Whisky, 70cl

Knob Creek is one of those classic small-batch bourbons that’s jumped in popularity. Take this chance to try it out for yourself. Produced by Jim Beam, it’s a traditional blend with nine years spent maturing and a spicy sweetness which is warmly satisfying. Even when first encountering the aroma you’ll get that mix of spice and sweetness, with granary toast melding with toasty oak and a spicy touch of rye. The flavour is pepped up and spice is the central feature with nutty, sweeter notes taking a backseat. It ends on a dry note and is wonderful sipped neat.

Navy strength is made using a secret recipe with a Caribbean rum at its spicy core. Expect big spicy flavours of cardamom, clove and vanilla in this legendary spiced rum.

Konik's Tail Vodka, 70cl

One of the best vodkas in Europe at the moment with a release of just 4,00 bottles per year. The complex and dense body; starts with soft sweet winter wheat followed by a nutty note and finally a complex dryness that flaunts the rye with a peppery note on the end. Tremendous stuff. Do not freeze this vodka. It's too damn good.

Grey Goose Orange Vodka, 70cl

Baked rolls and marmalade open up into juicy Valencia orange notes. Orange opal fruits then follow more tangy yet silky orange notes. Super smooth kick with lashes of orange marmalade and smashed wheat with citrus zest on the finish. Dramatic vodka. Serious flavours on show here. Very well-made vodka.

Grey Goose Citron Vodka, 70cl

Super zingy Menton lemon notes move into the rich lemon cake and soft crushed wheat and citrus peel. Lemon barley water and soft baked bread mid-palate, followed by a silky smooth kick that moves lightly through into soft yet sophisticated vanilla and smashed lemon sherbert finish. Awesome stuff. The most superior of all lemon vodkas.

Grey Goose La Poire Vodka, 70cl

Soft freshly picked autumnal pears with smashed apple and baked baked bread overtones on first taste. This is followed by crushed pear drops and sweet freshly pressed pear juice. The kicks are almost unnoticeable and wrapped in soft lemon peel, apple juice and pear juice. The finish is long, smooth and full of juicy pear and apple notes that leave you wanting more. Ten out of ten for the grey goose team. Exceptional stuff.

Saffron, 70cl

Resplendent in straw-yellow, Boudier’s saffron gin places premium, luxurious saffron at its heart. Gabriel Boudier’s micro-distillery is known for the quality of its work and each Boudier’s saffron gin batch is handcrafted using natural botanicals creating its delicately spicy character. Juniper is of course in there with notes of iris, angelica, orange peels and interesting fennel, delivering the liquorice aniseed notes which last long after drinking. The colour stands out but the flavour is even more memorable.

Don Papa Rum, 70cl

Distilled in small batches from sugar cane grown on the Philippines Island of Negros and aged in American Oak for 7 years. This is packed with vanilla flavours and a hint of spice.

Dewar's 12yr Whisky, 70cl

Dewar’s 12-year-old blend is a vibrant, juicy offering which is rich in fruity flavours and warmth. The nose is a heady concoction of fruit and creamy malted notes. There is a sweetness in the nose that follows through into the flavour with the barley malts taking centre stage and aromas of hot buttered toast also coming through. A little honey and aniseed spice adds further depth and reinforces the rich whisky flavour.

Trois Rivières Blanc, 70cl

Trois rivieres hides a lot of flavour in its crystal clear body. Punchy and awash with tangy notes, it is still smooth and is a great aLtrernative choice for your classic mojito or daiquiri. Fresh peaches, plums and pears come through in the nose and its high abv means once you sip you get the full depth of flavour in a single sucker punch. Despite its punchiness there is elegance to this rum and citrus and grassy notes come through to support the strength. 

Gran Centenario Reposado Tequila, 70cl

Gran Centenario Reposado is one of a range of classic and enjoyable tequilas from the top distillery. Sweet and floral on the nose with a little spice, the agave comes through in the flavour with warming hints of caramel and cinnamon. It’s classic in its flavour and any fan of tequila will enjoy mixing, sipping or slamming Gran Centenario Reposado. Spice lingers on after you’ve finished drinking, making this a particularly memorable tequila.

Miller's Westbourne, 70cl

One of the world’s most highly regarded gins miller’s Westbourne strength takes the classic Miller’s gin and lifts it to another level. Deepest Herefordshire fantastic Potatoe vodka. Creamy and almost buttery notes here with hot mash potatoes and ground black pepper finish. Yum! Probably best to keep this one in the freezer.

Warner Edwards Rhubarb Gin, 70cl

The queen victoria rhubarb has gone from queen victoria’s buckingham palace garden, in the 1800's, to being grown on crown estate property in the 2000's. the farm where it is now grown is a crown estate previously owned by the current grower, who farms it to this day. this rhubarb has always been grown in the traditional victorian kitchen garden style, having lots of organic matter to nourish it. it has not been grown commercially with artificial fertiliser and chemical sprays, so over the years the flavour can be greatly improved. we use ‘curiosity’ to soften the plant and then extract the juice through traditional pressing methods. the fabulous liquid is combined with our global award winning harrington dry gin and just enough sugar to balance the acidity. the resuLtr is a rumbustious gin with a big burst of rhubarb which is a glory on its own and beautiful with either tonic or ginger ale.

Glenmorangie 10yr Whisky, 70cl

The talents of Scotland and America are combined in each bottle of Glenmorangie. The finest single malt whisky of Scotland is matured in American mountain oak casks, delivering the characteristic aromatic flavour of Glenmorangie. A light and inviting aromas only hints at the flavour, enticing you to taste the fresh and floral flavours within. Captain Morgan Rum, 1.5ltr

Bell's 8yr Whisky, 1.5ltr

It hardly needs introducing, it’s one of the stalwarts of the drinks cupboard! Bell’s blended scotch whisky brings together the earthy flavours of many of Scotland's finest single malts creating a blend which is improved by oak cask maturation. Rich and familiar, the taste of Bell’s is like a loyal friend and the welcome nutty flavours teamed with notes of spice are infinitely enjoyable. The eight-year maturation process guarantees a round, warming flavour.

Bushmills 10yr Whisky, 70cl

Bushmills just got even better. An exceptional 10-year-old single malt offering which has been recognised for its quality and won awards for its flavour. The rich banana aroma leads into a highly fruited flavour, with hints of chocolate and oak tannin depth. Floral notes are present throughout and this is one whisky that only reveals itself with you pop in a drop of water or two. Simple yet classic and of course, extremely moreish.

A premium Chilean pisco from the Camposano family, now on to their fifth generation in the business. Waqar is made using muscat wine and is distilled in small batches to produce a natural and aromatic pisco.

Pyrat XO Rum, 70cl

With a bottle design reminiscent of those kept by Captains in the 19th century and instruction from the makers not to even consider mixing it with anything but ice, Pyrat xo is a genuine premium rum. Combining rums aged for as many as fifteen years, Pyrat xo is sweet and viscous on the palate, offering comforting marmalade sweetness. The orange flavour is tempered by sweeter, sugary notes and a medicinal edge reminiscent of cough drops. A truly exceptional rum which should be sipped at leisure.

Angostura 8yr 1919 Rum, 70cl

Angostura 1919 is an 8-year-old offering from the famous Trinidadian distillery that benefits from oaky tones delivered through the ex-bourbon casks it’s matured in. Toasted coconut and rich vanilla are released from the first opening and the taste is zesty with notes of exotic cumquat, dark sugar and faint herbal notes of eucalyptus and almond. The citrus flavours are the most prominent from beginning to end and give angostura 1919 a refreshing twist.

MarGin London Dry Gin, 50cl

MarGin’s founder Rachel Verghis is a former banker, passionate art collector and a gin sipping enthusiast. Inspired by an article about an artist who commissioned a perfumer to recreate the scent of the dollar bill, she embarked upon her own quest to create a premium spirit imbued with the quintessence of a banknote. On that quest she chanced upon the ‘white fiver’—the first fully printed five pound note issued by the Bank of England in 1793. Struck by the elegance and heritage of this iconic note, Rachel saw the perfect union of liquid and label for her artisanal gin brand. And so MarGin was born; a classic London dry gin, a tipple as cool, crisp and uncomplicated as a freshly printed ‘white fiver’, to be savoured like a smooth single malt or fine Cognac.

Aviation Gin, 70cl

Heavy on the botanicals upon entry which almost masks the juniper. Bergamot peel mid-palate followed by herbs and flowers. The gentle kick followed by stronger juniper notes with a sweet, almost lavender undercurrent on the close.

Olmeca Altos Reposado Tequila, 70cl

Olmeca Altos reposado spends a little longer being aged than other Olmeca tequilas, with 18 months in 200-litre white American ex-bourbon casks. It retains a super sweet and fresh flavour with its aroma packed full of bright fruitiness, notes of strawberry and cherry. The woody smokiness from the casks is apparent and is brought out even further when you take a sip. Slightly sweet honey comes through alongside the smokiness and the aftertaste is long, powerful and memorable.

Smith & Cross Gold Rum, 70cl

One of the rare 100% pot still rums out there, smith & cross is a Jamaican favourite which allows tropical fruity flavours to define its character. A hit of pineapple is your first hint at the flavours within and the nose develops with further spicier notes of clove, pepper and intriguing hot chilli. On tasting, you’ll enjoy a warm, buttery opening which bursts into a fiery chilli-based heat, peppered with cinnamon and clove. This heat is tempered by balancing vanilla and muscovado sugar notes, bringing smith & cross to a mellower endnote.

H by Hine, 70cl

A fine champagne VSOP cognac from the Hine house. H by Hine is a stylish alternative to Remy VSOP with a bit more oomph, but still very mixable for classy cocktails.

Courvoisier VSOP Brandy, 70cl

CHASE SLOE & MULBERRY GIN, 50cl

Wild Hedgerow sloe berries from Herefordshire and the ultimate forgotten fruit, mulberries, are gently macerated in GB Gin and then oak in Rhone Valley red wine casks.

Bombay Sapphire Gin, 5cl

Thai spice with a very faint wave of juniper. Lemon zest then comes to the forefront followed closely by a sweet pepper taste that moves through the soft kick. Very faint liquorice smashed parma violet and army and navy sweets wrapped in lavender on the finish.

Aberfeldy 12yr Whisky, 70cl

This classic 12-year-old Aberfeldy is a traditional single malt scotch, distilled up in the highlands. Rich and malty in character, aromas of cooked cherries, sherry and a light hint of smoke come through first. The flavour is wonderfully sweet with a clean mouthfeel and malty notes coming through consistently. Gentle peaty depth reminds you of the quality of this malt and peters off to a gentle finish.

Glenkinchie 12yr Whisky, 70cl

The entry-level bottle from the Glenkinchie distillery, this 12-year-old malt is rich in the classic flavours whisky lovers look for. The nose is light and fragrant, with cereal notes and a little barley sweetness most prominent. The flavour is fruity with notes of sweet Madeira, calvados and tannic oak flooding the mouth. Leblon Cachaça, 70cl

Named for a well-known region of Rio, Leblon cachaça looks like any other white rum or vodka but its flavour tells a different story. Its nose is a borderline combination of sugar sweetness and zesty citrus and is reminiscent of a good rum and a slice of lime. On drinking, you’ll enjoy an initial hit of that limey citrus soon followed by strong rum-like flavours tempered down by sugar cane sweetness. Leblon is harsh on the palate but not overwhelmingly so and is a great alternative to your average white rum in a daiquiri.

A legend in its own right, 12-year-old highland park is an Orcadian classic. Calvados Père Magloire VSOP Brandy, 70cl

Père Magloire 12-year-old AOC is a single distillation calvados which is fine and silky on the palate. Its deep golden brown colour is attributed to a minimum of 12 years maturation in oak barrels and this also adds a distinct addition to the flavour profile of the bottle. Fresh hazelnut marries with fruity banana and natural spices all coming together with the baked apple flavour which is typical of a quality calvados.

Pussers Blue Label Rum, 70cl

Blended accordingly to specifications set out by the British admiralty, Pusser's rum is a genuinely classic flavour. Bringing together rums from Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad and Jamaica, Pusser's is a real classic. Treacle, toffee and molasses aromas are released and combine wonderfully with cinnamon-spied oak and ginger. The flavour is strong yet mellow and includes notes of toffee and espresso in addition to those in the nose. The depth of flavour in Pusser's come from the bitter oaky notes which are present throughout.

Cragganmore 12yr Whisky, 70cl

Matured for 12 years, Cragganmore is a delicious, sherry-infused single malt representing Speyside and offering up both fruity warmth and slight floral notes. As you open the bottom it’s those floral notes that come first, closely followed by heather, smoked almonds and honey. Johnnie Walker Green Reserve Whisky, 70cl

Johnnie walker green label is one of the lesser found offerings from the hugely popular distillery and has a flavour which deserves at least one taste. A blended malt whisky which binds together many different flavours of Scotland, Johnnie walker green label is rich in oak tones, coffee beans and even chocolate. Dates and walnut also come through with oak and charcoal wood smoke also getting a look in. A long finish is nicely spiced, rich with honey and sweetened by malty cereals.
