Tapatio Blanco Tequila 500ml

Tequila Tapatio is a 100% agave tequila, from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. First produced in 1937 at la Altena distillery, it is still made today using the same artisanal methods. Tapatio Blanco is a 100% pure agave tequila which is double-distilled at 40% ABV and bottled without any additional water to preserve its true, authentic flavours. It shows fresh green pepper, spices, apple and earthy notes with a sweet roasted agave finish. A bartender’s favourite, Tapatio Blanco is outstanding in classic tequila cocktails such the margarita.

The Camarena family control the whole production process from field to bottle. They start with growing their own agaves in Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco. The rich mineral soil there strongly influences the flavour of the agaves, and also the resultant tequila. The water is from a natural well and no colourants or flavourings are added. The Camarena family follows a style of production considered artisanal in Tequila-making. The agaves are slowly cooked in traditional ‘hornos’, crushed by a Tahona wheel and then go through a long, natural fermentation process. This ensures the flavours of the agaves are fully expressed and integrated to create a spirit full of character, exactly as tequila should be.
