Amaro Averna, 70cl

This stuff really is outstanding and does real well when kept in the fridge. drinks wise, flavour combinations are endless. To start off try it with chilled freshly pressed apple juice with a few squashed up blackberries. Yuuuumm!
Gosling's Black Seal Rum, 70cl
The happy black seal performing on the front of each bottle is not where this rum got its name, but it’s a fun addition. Gosling’s black seal is named for the wax used to seal the stopper in place in fact and this is a deep, dark rum which stewed fruit aromas emanating from first opening. Spicy and herbal notes blend together to lead into a thickly sweet and fruity flavour which tingles on the tongue and is supported by creamier vanilla notes with caramel hints.

Click your clogs with joy! a dutch success story, smooth yet faint dried fruit notes with a touch of half-baked bread. Dry and peppery finish. This is super good from the fridge and a really good value for money. The dutch keep it real and the vodka follows suit. Great stuff.

With a couple of awards under its belt el dorado, 3-year rum is a fine example of a mixing rum which a crispness that lends itself to sharp citrus cocktails and even exotic punches. Coconut is ever-present from the first opening and hints of sugary sweet icing sugar are also apparent in the nose. On drinking, el dorado is surprisingly dry with notes of intense brown sugar, a nutty edge and of course that coconut coming through strongly. The ends note blends vanilla with the coconut for a fresh finish.

Osborne’s 103 white label brandy is a classic brandy de jerez and aged in casks formerly used for sherry, adding a distinctly Spanish flavour to the drink. A young Havana club offering, this 7-year-old Cuban rum gets its amber hues from the bourbon casks it’s matured in. The aroma is reminiscent of first thing in the morning, rich in roasted coffee with vanilla and gingerbread coming through too. Vanilla fudge is the prominent flavour when you take a sip and it’s soon paired with sweet dairy chocolate, fruit trifle and woody oak notes. The ends result is a warm, rounded rum which is wonderful when mixed with ginger or lime or both!
