The drink which sparked a new revolution, la fee absinthe Parisienne was one of the first absinthes newly licensed when the drink was once again made legal. Distilled in Paris utilising a 19th-century recipe, la fee Parisienne is exclusively authenticated by Marie-Claude Delahaye, founder and curator of the absinthe museum. Named for a well-known region of Rio, Leblon cachaça looks like any other white rum or vodka but its flavour tells a different story. Its nose is a borderline combination of sugar sweetness and zesty citrus and is reminiscent of a good rum and a slice of lime. On drinking, you’ll enjoy an initial hit of that limey citrus soon followed by strong rum-like flavours tempered down by sugar cane sweetness. Leblon is harsh on the palate but not overwhelmingly so and is a great alternative to your average white rum in a daiquiri.

A classic flavour that anyone with Danish blood will be pleased to see. Aalborg Taffel Aquavit is full flavoured and crystal clear, hiding a myriad of tempting flavours within. On opening, you’ll be hit with a warm, spiced aroma of caraway and this is just the beginning. The flavour has hints of orange, herbal notes and is a wonderfully mellow flavour which tastes best chilled and in true Danish fashion is often teamed with fish.

A premium Chilean pisco from the Camposano family, now on to their fifth generation in the business. Waqar is made using muscat wine and is distilled in small batches to produce a natural and aromatic pisco.

Originally made by the french Carthusian monks, yellow chartreuse is an aromatic and botanical-led liqueur with a distinctive and herbal taste. 130 hand-selected herbs are combined to create the exceptional flavour of yellow chartreuse and the liqueur is then aged in oak barrels to create a distinctive woody flavour. Honey is added to create a sweeter flavour and its lower proof and lighter on the palate when compared to its green compatriot. Wonderful before or after dinner.

Mandarine napoleon has been around since 1892 and it’s clear it’s bright, the vibrant flavour is what’s kept it in people’s hearts. The freshest mandarins from the island of Sicily are used to create the distinctive flavour this drink is known for and triple distillation ensures an intense mandarin freshness comes through clearly. Nutty Sri Lankan arrack is a distinctively flavoured drink which utilises the flavours of some of the country’s most naturally occurring plants. The sap of the coconut flower stem forms the key ingredient of the drink and is combined with a range of hand-picked botanicals and distilled in a traditional column still. The result is a flavour which is reminiscent of diluted whisky with recognisable nutty and malted notes and the added fruitiness of dried strawberry. a truly unique flavour.

Don’t be kidded into thinking Briottet Crème de Prune offers up the flavour of what we know as prunes in the UK, it is in fact a rich plum liqueur reminiscent of a classic plum brandy with a little extra cream. Springwater clear and aromatically fruity, Tosolini Cividina grappa is robust and awash with the fresh flavour of grapes.
